My Meditation Elixir was designed to a induce meditative state of consciousness, which is characterized by:
- deep mental and physical relaxation
- no sedation
It contains a tincture of Ginkgo biloba, a herb which increases blood flow in the brain, thereby enhancing and protecting the brain and the cognition.
Ginkgo may also induce vivid dreams and improve dream recall as well as help with symptoms such as tinnitus and vertigo.
The elixir also contains Verbena (Blue Vervain), which has the following benefits in the context of meditation:
- strong antispasmodic (muscle relaxant)
- reduces anxiety levels – important when engaging in a practice that is bound to eventually cause anxiety (in the early stages when ego death is approached and attained).
- nervine relaxant – induces a state of mental calmness.
- increases blood flow to legs – helpful when sitting cross-legged for long hours.
My Meditation Elixir also contains Scutellaria lateriflora (Skullcap), which is not is only a nervous system tonic which provides general systemic support to help ease the impact of anxiety, but it apparently also targets GABA receptors like benzodiazepines and other sleeping pills, inducing calmness and serenity.
It also contains glutamine, an amino acid with anxiolytic effects.
Turnera diffusa (Damiana) is another anti-anxiety herb which seems to work by affecting GABA receptors and it has the additional benefit of improving the mood.
Keep in mind that while this formulation may help with anxiety, it is not a long-term solution. To cure anxiety, I recommend scheduling a sleep consultation.

Dosage: 1-2 teaspoons, once or twice a day.
It may take up to 1-2 months for effects to fully manifest.
To avoid ingesting alcohol, mix into a cup of hot water, and let the alcohol evaporate.
For best results, I recommend adding the elixir to a cup of hot Japanese green tea, mixing, and drinking before sitting to meditate.
